At Linenhall Arts Centre · Linenhall Street, Castlebar, Co. Mayo
Galway-based duo Teague & Joyce bring their folk, Americana and roots sound to the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Friday 4 September 2026, touring songs from their June 2026 album Lost On The Wander. The nine-track record blends those Americana and folk influences with Irish threads, and the pair are known for close vocal harmonies and songwriting that leans on detail rather than spectacle. This show draws too on material from their earlier, Grammy-nominated record What Will We Be, and includes pieces sung in Irish alongside the English-language songs. The duo have picked up steady radio support - airplay on RTÉ Radio 1 and BBC Radio Ulster, plus a Track of the Week nod from Galway Bay FM - and reviewers have praised “musicianship of the highest quality, songs with meaning and voices that are mellow and mature.” The performance is a full band show rather than a stripped-back duo set, so expect a fuller arrangement than the record’s quieter moments might suggest. The Linenhall’s intimate performance space suits close listening, and this is a seated show. It opens what turns out to be a busy September for singer-songwriter and folk bookings at the venue, with Niall McCabe and Rónán Ó Snodaigh following later in the month, making the Linenhall a genuine autumn destination for this kind of music in Mayo.
