What to Expect

Quintessence Theatre present an original raucous comedy drama exploring love, life and struggle in the Irish LGBTQ+ community. Inspired by true stories, the play spans 30 years and follows three LGBTQ+ people from different generations, each navigating prejudice, pride, identity and legacy. The piece was created in association with Outcomers LGBT Support Service and An Tain Arts Centre, Dundalk, and is directed by Anna Simpson.

This production follows Quintessence’s acclaimed national tours of “The Curious Case of Albert Cashier” and Jaki McCarrick’s “Belfast Girls”.
