At TF Royal Hotel & Theatre · Old Westport Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo
The Sound of Springsteen recreates a full Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band-style show at TF Royal in Castlebar on Saturday 19 September 2026. The production promises “high-octane vocals” and “phenomenal stage production” across a set that the band says spans Springsteen’s catalogue from his earliest albums through to recent work, built around the “thundering guitars, iconic saxophone and powerful lyrics” that define the Boss’s sound. It is a standing-room, full-band tribute rather than an acoustic or stripped-down set - expect stadium-rock energy scaled into a theatre room, with a set list weighted toward the anthemic, well-known songs that make a Springsteen show a communal singalong as much as a concert. Doors open at 7pm ahead of an 8pm start, and with unreserved seating, early arrival matters if you want to be close to the stage for what is likely to be a standing, high-energy crowd by the second half of the set. Springsteen’s own touring history with the E Street Band spans five decades of exactly this kind of marathon, communal show, and tribute productions built around his catalogue tend to live or die on the saxophone and guitar parts being right - this one leans on both.
TF Royal is on the Old Westport Road on the edge of Castlebar, with on-site parking and a multi-storey car park nearby. Castlebar sits on the N5, roughly two and a half hours from Dublin and an hour from Galway, and is served by Bus Eireann from Dublin, Galway, Westport and Ballina.
The Green Room Bar & Restaurant on site covers food before the show, or there’s a good spread of options in Castlebar town centre if you’d rather eat in before heading over. There is more to see in Castlebar and across Co. Mayo.
