Thunder Rolls brings Ireland-based performer Stephen Butler and a full live band to Ardhowen Theatre on Friday, 16 October 2026, for a tribute show built entirely around Garth Brooks’ catalogue. Butler has followed Brooks’ music since the mid-1990s, and the show is pitched at fans of the arena country sound Brooks built his career on rather than a broader country revue.
The band works through Brooks staples including “Friends in Low Places” and “The Dance” alongside other well-known material from across his career, with Butler singing lead throughout. The billing leans on Butler’s long association with the songs, describing his delivery as close enough to the original that he sings them like his own rather than performing a straight impression. It is a full band show rather than a solo acoustic set, aimed at recreating the scale of a Brooks arena show as far as a theatre stage allows. As with the venue’s other touring productions this season, a smoke and haze machine and flashing lights are used during the performance. Tickets are GBP 24.50, sold as non-transferable and non-refundable, with additional front-row seats occasionally released if the main seating sells out, though the view from these can be restricted.
Ardhowen Theatre is on the Dublin Road on the edge of Enniskillen, beside Lough Erne, with parking on site. From Belfast it is roughly 90 minutes via the A4 through Dungannon, and from Dublin around two hours via the N3 through Cavan and Belturbet. Bus services run into Enniskillen town centre, a short taxi ride from the theatre.
