Tullamore Garden and Flower Club Talk

Tullamore Garden and Flower Club meets monthly at Charleville Community Centre for a gardening talk, typically on the last Wednesday of the month, running from September through to April with a break over the summer. The club exists to help people in Tullamore and the surrounding area take up gardening as a hobby and build the horticultural knowledge to develop their own gardens, and each session brings in a guest speaker to cover a different seasonal topic. The next talk in the autumn programme falls on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.

What to expect

Each monthly meeting centres on an invited speaker giving a talk or demonstration on a gardening topic. Past sessions have covered subjects like extending the season of interest in a garden and the balance of people, places and planting in garden design. Meetings run from around 7:30pm at Charleville Community Centre, with members and visitors both welcome to attend individual talks rather than commit to full membership up front. The club is affiliated with the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland, linking it into a wider network of garden clubs and shared expertise. Sessions run monthly from September to November and January to April, pausing over the summer and around Christmas, so the season resumes each autumn with a fresh talk programme.

Getting there

Charleville Community Centre is just off Church Avenue in Tullamore town centre, within walking distance of the main shopping streets. There is parking at the centre for those driving to the talk.
