At Carrickmore St Colmcille's GAC · Carrickmore, Co. Tyrone
Tyrone GAA runs a rolling programme of Kellogg’s Cul Camps at clubs across the county every July, four-day coaching camps that introduce children to Gaelic football, hurling and camogie. The camp at Carrickmore St Colmcille’s runs Monday to Thursday, 20 to 23 July 2026, one of a dozen club venues hosting a week of camps through the month. Camps use GAA-trained coaches and each child receives a full kit as part of the standard booking.
Cul Camps run from 10am to 1pm each day and are open to boys and girls, usually from around 6 to 13 years old, whether or not they already play for a club. Days combine skills stations, small-sided games and fun challenges built around Gaelic football, with hurling and camogie added in at dual venues. Carrickmore St Colmcille’s is Tyrone’s most decorated club, with 15 county Senior Football Championship titles including a run of three in a row in the late 1970s, and the only club in Tyrone to have stayed in senior ranks continuously since it was founded in 1932. Camps elsewhere in the county run on a rolling weekly basis through July, with Cookstown, Coalisland, Pomeroy and Fintona among the clubs that hosted the week before this one.
Carrickmore lies on the road between Omagh and Cookstown, roughly 20 minutes from either town by car. The club grounds have on-site parking for drop-off and collection either side of the camp day.
Carrickmore is a small mid-Tyrone village built around its long-established GAA club and parish church, roughly midway between the Sperrins and the Clogher Valley. There is more to see in Carrickmore and across Co. Tyrone.
