At The Harbour Bar (Upstairs) · 1 Strand Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow
Jarlath Regan brings his new stand-up show, Under Construction, to the upstairs comedy room at The Harbour Bar in Bray on Friday, 21 August 2026. The night is billed as a preview date, with Regan working through fresh jokes and stories ahead of the show’s official tour launch. He has previously toured full-length hours across Ireland, the UK, Australia and America, and comes to Bray with a well-worn stage act rather than a debut set.
Regan’s comedy has been described by The Irish Examiner as “the jewel in Ireland’s comedy crown,” and broadcaster Patrick Kielty has called him “a master at work.” Under Construction sits in the tradition of a working comedian road-testing new material in a small room before it goes out on a bigger tour, so expect a looser, more conversational show than a polished special, with room for the odd aside or reworked bit depending on how the crowd responds. The Harbour Bar’s upstairs space is intimate, with seating that is first come, first served rather than allocated, so arriving in good time secures a better view of the stage.
The Harbour Bar sits on Bray seafront at 1 Strand Road, a short walk from Bray DART and railway station on the Dublin to Rosslare line, and close to the main seafront car parks. The comedy room is upstairs in the pub, reached from street level.
The Harbour Bar is one of Bray’s longest-running pubs and a regular home for live comedy, including the monthly Hardy Har Comedy Club and the annual Bray Comedy Festival each February. There is more to see and do in Bray and across Co. Wicklow.
