Summer Camp at Killruddery Estate

At Killruddery Estate · Southern Cross Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow

Children on an outdoor activity at Killruddery Estate summer camp

Alive Outside runs weekly summer camps for children aged 7 to 13 at Killruddery Estate in Bray throughout the school holidays, with the next five-day week running Monday, 10 to Friday, 14 August 2026, followed by a final five-day week from Monday, 17 to Friday, 21 August. The camps blend outdoor adventure, such as kayaking, water slides and obstacle courses, with a new STEM strand introduced for 2026, delivered across the estate’s grounds rather than in a classroom. Killruddery is the flagship location for Alive Outside’s Wicklow and Dublin programme, running more weeks here than at any of its other venues.

What to expect

Each day runs for six hours, with five start-time options between 9am and 10:20am so parents can choose a slot that suits drop-off. Activities are built around hands-on outdoor learning rather than a fixed classroom curriculum, mixing kayaking, water slides, obstacle courses and outdoor survival skills with STEM challenges brought in as a core strand this year. A four-day Splash Zone camp with expanded water activities ran from Tuesday, 4 to Friday, 7 August, and the two remaining five-day weeks, 10-14 and 17-21 August, close out the summer programme. Killruddery also runs standalone Saturday one-day camps for smaller groups at a lower price. Family discounts of €10 per additional child apply across every session.
