Paddy McDonnell: Gout's Out Tour

At The Harbour Bar (Upstairs) · 1 Strand Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow

Comedian performing stand-up on stage with a microphone

Belfast comedian Paddy McDonnell plays The Harbour Bar in Bray on Thursday, 15 October 2026 with his stand-up show Gout’s Out. McDonnell started performing in 2011 and built his early reputation supporting Des Bishop and Ardal O’Hanlon, before developing his own act around everyday material drawn from working as a taxi driver and life as a husband and father. Gout’s Out turns those same instincts on getting older, trying to stay young through boxing while nursing a gout diagnosis, and the general chaos of raising kids in your forties.

What to expect

McDonnell’s comedy leans on observational, self-deprecating storytelling rather than one-liners, built from the small indignities of daily life rather than abstract material. The Bray date is part of a wider run of the Gout’s Out show around Ireland and the UK, so audiences can expect a full, structured set rather than a work-in-progress try-out night. The Harbour Bar’s upstairs room is a small, pub-style venue, so the show has the close, informal feel typical of the venue’s regular comedy nights rather than a theatre setting.
