Wicklow Whiskey Society describes itself as Wicklow’s official whiskey club, running a season of distillery-led tasting nights that rotate between three partner pubs in Bray: The Harbour Bar, The Martello and Frank Duff’s. It is a recurring series rather than a one-off, and the society confirms venue and exact timing for each date closer to the night itself.
Each tasting is built around one distillery or brand, guided by a distillery representative or whiskey ambassador through a flight of expressions with tasting notes and background on how each one is made. The confirmed 2026 season runs a Kilbeggan tasting on 24 September, a Glendalough Distillery tasting on 22 October, a JJ Corry tasting on 19 November, and a Christmas event on 10 December. Annual membership costs €140 for 2026 and gives priority booking on every date in the series. Members reserve first, and only a limited number of individual tickets go on sale in the build-up to each event, so the society does not publish a standing per-event price. If you expect to attend more than one or two nights in the season, membership is the route that guarantees a seat.
All three partner venues sit within a short walk of each other in Bray town centre, close to the seafront and the DART station, making the series an easy one to attend without a car from Dublin or elsewhere in Wicklow.
Bray’s seafront, harbour and cluster of bars and restaurants around Quinsborough Road and Albert Avenue make it one of the busiest food and drink towns on the Wicklow coast, and the whiskey society’s three host pubs are all part of that same strip.
