Calum MacPhail in Concert - Market Place Theatre, Armagh

At Market Place Theatre and Arts Centre · Market Street, Armagh, Co. Armagh BT61 7BW

Singer-songwriter performing acoustic set at Market Place Theatre Armagh

What to Expect

Scottish singer-songwriter Calum MacPhail plays an acoustic folk set at Market Place Theatre on Thursday 8 October 2026, opening the venue’s October concert run. The show is a solo or small-band acoustic performance, in keeping with the folk and singer-songwriter style rather than a full-band rock or tribute production, and it plays the theatre’s main auditorium as a single seated evening.

This is one of several folk-leaning concerts the theatre programmes through the autumn, alongside Ralph McTell’s show later in October, giving audiences a run of acoustic and singer-songwriter nights to choose from. It suits anyone who prefers a quieter, more intimate concert over the larger tribute-band shows also on the venue’s schedule this season. Doors typically open around 30 minutes before the advertised start time, giving time to find a seat in the main auditorium.
