What to Expect

Legends of the 60s Show is a concert built around the biggest hits of the swinging sixties, playing Market Place Theatre’s main auditorium on Friday 16 October 2026. Like the venue’s earlier Glory Days concert covering the 1980s, this is a full band performance moving through a set of well-known songs from the decade rather than a single-artist tribute, aimed at audiences after an evening of decade nostalgia.

The show continues a run of nostalgia and tribute concerts through the theatre’s October programme, following The Ennio Morricone Experience and sitting alongside Movicals and The Love Hungry Farmer later in the month. It is a standalone evening show with no support act, staged in the venue’s 400-seat main auditorium with its full in-house sound and lighting set-up.

Getting There

Market Place Theatre sits on Market Street in Armagh city centre. Armagh is roughly 40 minutes from Belfast via the A3, and around an hour from Dublin via the M1 and A28. Translink buses run from Belfast’s Europa Buscentre into Armagh bus station on Lonsdale Road, a short walk from the theatre, and pay-and-display parking is available nearby on Thomas Street and Scotch Street.

While You’re in Armagh

Armagh’s compact city centre makes it easy to build a full evening around a show. Two cathedrals, both named St Patrick’s, sit on facing hilltops in the city, and the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium is a short walk from Market Street. A number of pubs and restaurants around the Shambles and English Street are within easy reach for dinner beforehand.
