At Armagh Observatory and Planetarium · College Hill, Armagh, Co. Armagh, BT61 9DB
Armagh Observatory and Planetarium is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm throughout summer 2026. The main draw for families is the dome show - an immersive planetarium presentation on subjects ranging from the solar system to deep space. The planetarium runs separate “Under 5s” shows (shorter, less dark) and standard family shows.
Alongside the dome, the exhibition area includes interactive games (build your own solar system at the Stellar Playground), the Stellar Science Lab with hands-on physics exhibits, a sensory room, and an outdoor trail through the Observatory grounds. Special family weekends with additional activities - including face painting, craft sessions, and rocket building - are scheduled during the summer programme.
