Baltinglass Women's Group Monthly Meeting

Baltinglass Women’s Group, known locally as BWG, holds its monthly meeting at the Lalor Centre in the town, one of a cluster of long-running social groups listed on the Baltinglass community website alongside the local active retirement association and ICA guild. The group organises classes, social evenings and trips for its members across the year, with the monthly meeting acting as the anchor gathering where plans for those activities are made and members catch up in between.

What to Expect

The meeting takes place on the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30pm, an evening slot aimed at working members as much as those who are retired. Beyond the meeting itself, the group’s programme has typically included classes and workshops, organised outings and trips, and purely social evenings, giving it a broader remit than a single-interest club. The format on the night is informal, centred on catching up with the wider membership, hearing what is planned for the month ahead, and putting names down for any trips or classes on offer. New members from the Baltinglass area are generally welcome to come along.
