Bingo Loco takes the familiar ritual of calling numbers and turns it into a three-hour stage show - part rave, part comedy night, part game show. It has been touring Ireland for years and built a loyal following precisely because it is so far removed from the bingo hall of your granny’s era. Carlow town sits on the River Barrow, roughly 85 km south-west of Dublin on the N9. By car it is about an hour from the capital, less if you are coming from Kilkenny or Wicklow. Bus Éireann runs regular coaches from Dublin Busáras (route 4 or expressway services) with the journey taking around 90 minutes. Carlow train station is served by Irish Rail on the Dublin Heuston to Waterford line, and the town centre is a short walk from the platform.
The Tower Live is on Tullow Street in the town centre. Street parking is available in the surrounding streets and there are car parks nearby, though for a Friday night event it is worth arriving early or using one of the pay-and-display options rather than circling. Given the late finish, taxis and local cab firms are the practical choice if you plan to enjoy the night fully.
