Cavan Town CCE Set Dancing and Traditional Music Sessions

What to Expect

Cavan Town Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann (CCE) runs weekly music sessions, set dancing classes and group activities throughout the year at venues across Cavan town. With over 300 members, the branch caters for all ages from beginners to experienced musicians and dancers. Sessions cover instrumental classes, group trad sessions and ceili set dancing.

The branch also puts on a series of summer concerts during July and August at the Meadowview Inn and at Cavan County Museum in Ballyjamesduff. These concerts are informal, community-focused evenings showcasing traditional music, song and dance. The branch is the organiser of the annual Ed Reavy Trad Music Festival and the County Fleadh Cheoil when it comes to Cavan.
