What to Expect

An intimate evening of traditional Irish culture set against the backdrop of Cavan’s shimmering lakes. The event combines a ceili with sean-nos singing, poetry and storytelling, and finishes with a hearty BBQ of locally sourced produce. The lakeside setting at Cavan Adventure Centre on the shores of Lough Oughter adds to the occasion. This is a Heritage Week event, making traditional culture accessible and relaxed rather than formal.

The ceili format welcomes all, whether experienced set dancers or complete beginners, with the evening intended as a community gathering as much as a performance.
