What to Expect

Cork Heritage Open Day is a free annual event organised by Cork City Council as part of National Heritage Week (15-23 August 2026). Over 40 historic buildings across Cork City open their doors to the public, including civic, educational, ecclesiastical, military, commercial, and historic residential properties that are not normally accessible to visitors. Guided street walking tours are also available throughout the day.

Getting There

Most participating buildings are in Cork City centre, within walking distance of each other. Cork City centre is served by all Bus Eireann and Cork City bus routes. Kent Station is a short walk from the city centre.
