The Market Place Theatre in Armagh runs a regular series of dementia-friendly film screenings, with the June 2026 instalment featuring The Ladykillers (1955), the classic Ealing Studios black comedy starring Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers and Katie Johnson. The screenings are open to everyone but are designed with the specific needs of people living with dementia and their carers in mind - the atmosphere is relaxed, the sound is managed carefully, and house lights are kept slightly raised.
Tea, coffee, and biscuits are included in the ticket price of GBP 5. Seating in the Studio Theatre is unreserved and in a cabaret-style layout to allow easy movement.
