At Finnebrogue Woods (Fodder) · 26 Killyleagh Road, Downpatrick, Co. Down
NetWalk is Down Business Centre’s monthly antidote to formal networking, a relaxed group walk through Finnebrogue Woods just outside Downpatrick rather than a room full of name badges and elevator pitches. The centre pitches it directly at people who find traditional networking events intimidating, new business owners especially, describing it as a chance to simply turn up, walk, and have a chat with other local business people.
The walk starts at 9:30am and runs for around ninety minutes through the 30 acres of mature woodland and lakeside paths at Finnebrogue, with Fodder’s farm shop and cafe on site for coffee before or after. There is no format, no speeches and no pressure to hand out cards, just a walking group of local business owners, freelancers and anyone curious about networking without the stiffness of a conference room. Down Business Centre runs the series roughly monthly rather than to a fixed weekly slot, with the next sessions confirmed for late September and October 2026. It suits solo traders and small business owners based around Downpatrick who want to build contacts without carving out a whole morning for a formal event.
Finnebrogue Woods is just outside Downpatrick on the Killyleagh Road, a few minutes’ drive from the town centre. There is no direct bus route to the woods themselves, so arriving by car is the practical option, with parking available on site at Fodder.
Down Cathedral and the Saint Patrick Centre are a short drive away in Downpatrick town, making it easy to combine the walk with a look round the county town. There is more to see in Downpatrick and across Co. Down.
