The Ellen Hutchins Festival 2026 runs from Saturday 15 August to Sunday 23 August, celebrating the life and botanical legacy of Ellen Hutchins (1785-1815), Ireland’s first female botanist, who collected and documented plants around Bantry Bay. The annual festival programme includes guided botanical walks, expert talks, workshops in botanical art and illustration, boat trips on Bantry Bay, exhibitions, and family-friendly events for all ages.
