At Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark · 43 Marlbank Road, Florencecourt, Co. Fermanagh, BT92 1EW
Marble Arch Caves runs its Junior Rangers Summer Camp over three consecutive days from Tuesday, 18 August 2026, an outdoor programme for 6 to 11 year olds led by a Geopark ranger across the woodlands and trails above the show cave. Running 10am to 2pm each day, the camp costs £75 for all three days and is aimed at children who want to spend the last weeks of the school holidays outside rather than in front of a screen.
Across the three days, children take part in bug hunts, nature trails, wildlife detective challenges, eco-friendly games and nature craft sessions, all built around the Geopark’s woodland and cave-country setting near Florencecourt. The programme is designed to introduce young visitors to conservation and the natural history of the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, one of the few UNESCO-designated geoparks on the island of Ireland, through hands-on activities rather than classroom teaching. A packed lunch break runs from midday to 12:30pm each day. Families are asked to send children with a packed lunch and drink, waterproof clothing, sturdy footwear and any medication they need, since sessions run outdoors regardless of weather.
Marble Arch Caves is on the Marlbank Road outside Florencecourt, about 40 minutes from Enniskillen and close to the Cavan border. The site has its own visitor centre car park; there is no public transport directly to the caves, so a car is needed. Booking in advance is required through marblearchcaves.co.uk.
Florencecourt is best known for Florence Court house and estate, and sits within reach of the Marble Arch Caves visitor centre and the wider Cuilcagh Boardwalk trail network. There is more to see in Florencecourt and across Co. Fermanagh.
