Fireworks Display at Bray Seafront

At Bray Seafront · Strand Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow

Fireworks over Bray seafront on August Bank Holiday

Bray Seafront closes out the August Bank Holiday weekend with a free fireworks display on Monday, 3 August 2026, opposite the Bandstand. East Coast FM broadcasts live from the seafront from 8pm, running up to the display itself, and The Martello Hotel backs the event alongside pyrotechnics company Rocket Pyrotechnics Ireland. It caps a run of summer events on the seafront, including the funfair and beach BBQ festival earlier in the same fortnight, giving the bank holiday a fixed, free finale that draws a large crowd along the promenade.

What to expect

East Coast FM presenters broadcast live from the seafront from 8pm, building up to the display with music and features before the fireworks themselves begin after dark. Organisers describe the show as a high-output production with thousands of effects, large fireballs and flame units rather than a short token display, and in past years listeners have had the chance to win a VIP spot to help launch it. Because the display draws large numbers to a relatively small stretch of seafront, organisers advise walking, cycling or using public transport rather than driving, as parking near the Bandstand fills early and the roads around the seafront get congested in the run-up to the show. Arriving well before 8pm secures a decent spot along the promenade.

Getting there

Bray Seafront is a short walk from Bray DART and rail station, with regular services from Dublin city centre and Wicklow. Dublin Bus routes also serve Bray town centre. Parking directly on the seafront is limited and fills early on the night.

While you’re in Bray

The display sits at the end of a run of summer events on Bray’s promenade, so it pairs naturally with the seafront’s usual mix of cafes, the funfair and Bray Head beyond it. There is more to see in Bray and across Co. Wicklow.
