Flowing...a Legacy from Stitch to Shoreline - Exhibition by Ailish Malone

At Culturlann Sweeney Library Gallery · Culturlann Sweeney, Kilkee, Co. Clare

Layered acrylic and mixed media paintings by Ailish Malone inspired by the Clare coastline

What to Expect

‘Flowing…a Legacy from Stitch to Shoreline’ is a solo exhibition by visual artist and designer Ailish Malone from County Clare. Her work is deeply inspired by the River Shannon, the Atlantic coastline, and the strength and resilience of these fluid landscapes, shaped by her father’s work as a fisherman and her mother’s love of sewing and knitting expressed through colour and vibrant textiles. Using layered acrylics, inks, glazes, and found objects, Malone moves between realism and abstraction to evoke the energy and emotion of the coast.

The exhibition is presented by Clare Arts Office in conjunction with Culturlann Sweeney Library Gallery, Kilkee.
