At Culturlann Sweeney Library Gallery · Culturlann Sweeney, Kilkee, Co. Clare
‘Flowing…a Legacy from Stitch to Shoreline’ is a solo exhibition by visual artist and designer Ailish Malone from County Clare. Her work is deeply inspired by the River Shannon, the Atlantic coastline, and the strength and resilience of these fluid landscapes, shaped by her father’s work as a fisherman and her mother’s love of sewing and knitting expressed through colour and vibrant textiles. Using layered acrylics, inks, glazes, and found objects, Malone moves between realism and abstraction to evoke the energy and emotion of the coast.
The exhibition is presented by Clare Arts Office in conjunction with Culturlann Sweeney Library Gallery, Kilkee.
Culturlann Sweeney is in Kilkee town centre on the West Clare coast, approximately 45 minutes from Ennis via the N68. Kilkee is well served by Bus Eireann services from Ennis and Limerick.
