What to Expect

Gosford Forest Park is a 240-hectare woodland park near Markethill in County Armagh, open daily for family visits. The park has two dedicated children’s play areas: Little Explorers (suitable for under-5s, with willow hedge enclosure) and Squirrels Drey (an adventure trail through the trees using ropes, swings, and ladders, for age 7 and up).

During the Get Active ABC summer programme, Gosford is also the venue for Forest School taster sessions for children aged 6 to 10 - a structured outdoor learning experience involving rope swings, natural crafts, mud pies, and exploring insects and worms. Getting There

Gosford Forest Park is on the main Armagh to Newry road (A28) near Markethill. Driving is the most practical option. Free car parking is available at the park entrance.
