At Dr Hickey Park · Mill Road, Greystones, Co. Wicklow
Greystones RFC play their home matches at Dr Hickey Park on Mill Road, with the new season opening at home to Naas RFC in the Leinster Senior League on Saturday, 22 August 2026, kick off 3:00pm. Founded in 1937, Greystones compete in Division 2A of the Energia All-Ireland League, and the club’s fixture list runs from August pre-season games through into the AIL proper from late September, with further home dates confirmed against Galway Corinthians, UL Bohemians and Galwegians running into the winter.
Dr Hickey Park is a proper club rugby ground, with covered seating and a clubhouse that fills up before and after games, and matchday at Greystones has the feel of a tight knit rugby community rather than a big occasion venue. The Leinster Senior League fixture against Naas in late August is effectively a season opener and warm up for the AIL campaign proper, so expect a slightly looser, more experimental Greystones side testing combinations before the serious business of Division 2A begins in September. Once the AIL fixtures start, home games against sides like Galway Corinthians and Galwegians carry more weight in the league table. Club rugby crowds here are friendly and knowledgeable, with a bar open before and after full time and a good number of underage players and families making up the sideline.
Greystones has its own DART station, a walk of around fifteen to twenty minutes from Dr Hickey Park, or a short taxi ride. The N11 also passes close to the town for anyone driving, with parking available near the grounds.
Greystones has a lively harbour and south beach worth a visit either side of a match, only a short walk from the rugby grounds. There is more to explore across Co. Wicklow.
