Hidden Hearth Festival 2026

At Lisnavagh House and Gardens · Lisnavagh, Rathvilly, Co. Carlow, R93 PX61

Festival goers gathered around a woodland stage at Lisnavagh House, Rathvilly

What to Expect

Hidden Hearth takes over the woodlands of Lisnavagh House for three days every October, and it has built a loyal following since starting life as the Lisnavagh Wellness Festival in 2022 before taking on the Hidden Hearth name the following year. The 2026 edition runs from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October. It is a sober, family-friendly gathering built around music, art, ideas and connection rather than a conventional festival bar-and-stage setup, alcohol and substances are not permitted on site. The main woodland stage, called Into The Woods, carries live music and performance through the weekend, while The Sanctuary hosts yoga, dance and meditation sessions and The Library runs talks and workshops from various speakers and activists. The Brick Barn is given over to more experiential sessions such as shamanic workshops and cacao ceremonies, and there is a dedicated Wild Child area keeping younger visitors entertained, plus food from the Sangha Community Kitchen. In total the site is organised into more than sixteen distinct spaces, so the weekend has plenty of variety beyond the main stage.

Lisnavagh itself is a 19th century Tudor Gothic house set in 800 acres of parkland on the Carlow-Wicklow border, home to the McClintock Bunbury family, with walled gardens, woodland and views out towards the Wicklow Hills, the Blackstairs Mountains and Mount Leinster, a striking backdrop for the festival’s woodland stage and camping areas.
