Dunamaise Arts Centre hosts Puffling Productions’ Puffling Percy on Thursday 29 October 2026 at 11am, a children’s theatre show for ages three and up. The story follows Percy, a young puffling too frightened to fly when his flock migrates south for the winter, left behind and in danger until he meets Shrimp, a confident field mouse. Tickets cost €12.50 each.
Percy’s fear of flying means he misses his flock’s migration and has to find his own way to safety, and the show follows the friendship he strikes up with Shrimp the field mouse as the two set off together to reunite Percy with his parents. Puffling Productions builds the show around themes young children can hold onto easily, friendship, courage and learning to trust yourself, told through a single continuous story rather than a string of unconnected sketches. Expect live performance aimed squarely at a young audience, with the kind of pace, colour and directness that holds the attention of three, four and five year olds without needing them to sit still for long stretches.
