Irish singer-songwriter Mundy plays a full concert at The Dock in Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday, 5 September 2026. Born Edmond Enright in Birr, Co. Offaly, Mundy built his reputation on emotionally direct songwriting and a commercially successful debut album, and remains one of the better-known touring names on the Irish singer-songwriter circuit to come through a venue of this size.
The 90-minute show is a solo-billed concert with no support act, in an intimate arts-centre room rather than a large touring venue. Mundy’s back catalogue includes the song that gave him his commercial breakthrough, and a career that has since taken in support slots and shared bills with Bob Dylan, Neil Young and R.E.M. He has released material through his own independent label, with one album reaching number one in the Irish charts and going on to earn gold and platinum sales certification. He was also invited to perform for Barack Obama at a White House St Patrick’s Day event, a booking regularly mentioned in write-ups of his live shows. Expect a set drawn from across his catalogue rather than a single-album tour, played in The Dock’s close, seated performance space. Shows of this size at The Dock tend to sell at a steady pace rather than selling out in advance, but the room is small enough that early booking is worthwhile for a well-known name.
The Dock is on St. George’s Terrace in Carrick-on-Shannon town centre, close to Carrick-on-Shannon railway station on the Dublin to Sligo line, and within walking distance of the town’s bus stop on the N4. Parking is available on-street and in nearby town-centre car parks, and the venue is a short walk from the town’s hotels and guesthouses.
