At All Libraries NI branches in the borough · Various - Armagh, Portadown, Lurgan, Craigavon, Banbridge, Keady, Co. Armagh
Libraries NI’s Big Summer Read is a 66-day reading challenge for primary school children, running throughout the summer holidays. Children collect their Big Summer Read Adventure Poster from their local library branch from 27 June and aim to read for at least 15 minutes a day. Branches across the borough - Armagh City, Portadown, Lurgan, Brownlow (Craigavon), Keady, Banbridge, and Richhill - all participate.
The challenge is designed to keep children reading during the long summer break, helping prevent the “summer slide” in literacy. Children track their reading on the poster and return it to the library when completed.
