Mount Wolseley Golf and Country Club, on the edge of Tullow, runs a full season of open Singles Stableford competitions on its 18-hole parkland course, with a mix of Open Singles, Open Seniors and Ladies Open Day fixtures spread across the year. The next confirmed date is an Open Seniors day on Tuesday 25 August 2026, followed by further open days already on the calendar through the autumn.
Every open day at Mount Wolseley uses the same singles Stableford format, playable off the visitor’s own handicap, with tee times booked individually rather than a mass start. Visitor entry for the Open Seniors days is €30, while club members pay a flat €10 across all open competitions; the main Open Singles days, the next of which falls on Monday 5 October, are priced slightly higher for visitors. Places can be booked online through the club’s open days page or by phone. Because Mount Wolseley is part of a full hotel, spa and golf resort, visiting golfers travelling from further afield can combine a round with an overnight stay, and the clubhouse has full changing and catering facilities for competitors.
Mount Wolseley is on the edge of Tullow town, around 13km from Carlow town via the N80/N81, and is clearly signposted from Tullow itself. The resort has extensive free parking for golfers and hotel guests alike.
