At Customs House Quay / Popscene at Voodoo Rooms · Customs House Quay, Cork City, Co. Cork
A party cruise on Cork Harbour with a DJ spinning 80s and 90s classics, followed by a night out in one of the city’s biggest clubs - Popscene Cork has been doing it long enough to make it look easy. The July sailing is the middle date in a three-night series and suits anyone who wants their summer night out to feel like more than the usual pub crawl. It works particularly well for groups - work parties, birthdays, mixed-age crowds - because the nostalgia music format tends to land with everyone, and the structure means there is always something to move on to.
The evening departs Customs House Quay at 6:00pm. The vessel is fully covered, so the harbour views are yours whatever July weather decides to do. For two and a half hours, a Popscene DJ works through 80s and 90s floor-fillers while a full bar runs throughout. After docking, a coach transfers everyone to Voodoo Rooms on Oliver Plunkett Street - a three-floor venue with multiple bars, VIP booths, and a rooftop. The night continues there with complimentary party food and drinks before the club night proper gets going. The €65 ticket covers the cruise, the coach, the food and drinks at the club, and the nightclub entry - nothing extra at the door.
This is a sell-out series. Capacity on board is fixed and dates fill in advance, so booking early matters.
Customs House Quay sits on the south bank of the River Lee, a short walk from Grand Parade. Cork’s bus station at Parnell Place is a few minutes on foot. By car, paid multi-storey parking is available on Sullivan’s Quay and Lavitt’s Quay nearby. Given the nature of the evening, arriving by bus or taxi makes more sense than driving.
If you are making a trip of it, the English Market and the streets around MacCurtain Street are worth an afternoon before the cruise. There is more to see in Cork and across Co. Cork.
