What to Expect

Saint Patrick’s Way is a 132km pilgrimage trail connecting Armagh - the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland - with Downpatrick, where St Patrick is buried. The trail begins at the Navan Centre and Fort outside Armagh city. Guided half-day walks (approximately 6 miles, including guide, lunch and transfer) are offered on specific dates throughout the season. The 8 August 2026 date is one of three guided walk dates available in summer 2026 (6 June, 4 July and 8 August). Self-guided walking is available any day from April to October.

Getting There

The trail head at the Navan Centre is on the Killylea Road, approximately 3km west of Armagh city centre. Parking is available at the Navan Centre.
