David O’Doherty brings Highway to the David Zone to Hawk’s Well Theatre on Thursday, 15 October 2026. The Dublin comedian has been a fixture of the Irish and UK circuits for two decades, known for mixing stand-up with songs played on a small keyboard, and this show continues that format with new material. It plays as a single evening date in the theatre’s main auditorium on Temple Street, with an 8pm start.
Highway to the David Zone combines O’Doherty’s usual talking, songs and talking-during-songs approach, an act built around a battered keyboard and a deliberately low-key, self-deprecating stage persona that has won him an Edinburgh Comedy Award and a long list of loyal followers over the years. It is a genuinely different shape of show to a straight stand-up hour, closer to musical comedy, and closes out Hawk’s Well’s autumn 2026 comedy run after dates from Vittorio Angelone, Gearoid Farrelly, Rory’s Stories, Aoife Dunne and Ardal O’Hanlon earlier in the season. Doors open ahead of the 8pm start, and the show runs to around ninety minutes. Tickets are sold directly through the Hawk’s Well box office and website at €28 plus a standard booking fee.
