Hagstravaganza 2026

At The White Hag Brewery · The White Hag Brewery, Ballymote, Co. Sligo

Guests sampling craft beer at Hagstravaganza in Ballymote

Hagstravaganza returns to The White Hag Brewery in Ballymote on Saturday 8 August 2026, with doors opening at 1:00pm. The Irish craft brewery hosts a day-long beer festival on its own grounds, pulling in guest breweries from Ireland and further afield alongside live music, food vendors and behind-the-scenes brewery tours.

What to expect

The festival lines up more than 80 beers and drinks across The White Hag’s own range and a roster of guest breweries, plus cocktails, wines and spirits for anyone not drinking beer. Past lineups have included names such as Lervig, Cloudwater Brew Co, Trouble Brewing, Wide Street Brewing Co and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, alongside guided tastings hosted by visiting brewers. On-site food comes from a run of vendors including Handsome Burger, Chipeen, Country Grill Rotisserie, Sligo Oysters and Barrel House Pizza, so there is plenty to eat between tastings. The day also runs a Beer Olympics competition and live music through the afternoon and evening, and guided brewery tours let visitors see how The White Hag’s own beers are made on site.

Getting there

The White Hag Brewery is based in Ballymote, a market town roughly 25 minutes south of Sligo town by car. As this is a beer festival, driving is not recommended for anyone planning to drink; check for shuttle or taxi options in advance, and note the event carries the usual over-18s conditions of any licensed drinks festival.

While you’re in Sligo

Ballymote is a good base for exploring south Sligo beyond the festival, with Ballymote Castle and the wider Tubbercurry and Ballymote area worth a look if visiting for the day. There is more to see in Sligo and across Co. Sligo.
