Scottish singer Eddi Reader, best known as the voice of Fairground Attraction and for her interpretations of Robert Burns, joins Irish piano accordion player Alan Kelly and his band for a concert at Hawk’s Well Theatre on Thursday, 24 September 2026. The pairing began as a one-off festival performance in 2010 and has since grown into an annual touring show that has sold out venues across Ireland for well over a decade.
The Alan Kelly Gang lineup for this run includes Steph Geremia on flute and vocals, John Douglas of Trashcan Sinatras and Kris Drever of Lau on guitars and vocals, and Jim Higgins, a percussionist known for his work with Christy Moore and The Stunning. Together with Reader’s distinctive voice, the show blends Scottish and Irish folk traditions, moving between Reader’s own songbook, Burns settings and driving traditional tunes led by Kelly’s accordion.
