At Hawk's Well Theatre · Temple Street, Sligo, Co. Sligo
Hawk’s Well Theatre’s Lunchtime at the Well series continues through August with a different act taking the foyer stage each Wednesday. The next date, Wednesday 12 August 2026, features Jason and Lorna McGuinness. The series runs weekly, bringing live music into the theatre’s foyer for around forty minutes in the middle of the day rather than a full evening show. It is free to attend and suits anyone with an hour to spare, office workers on a break, visitors passing through, or locals looking for live music without a night out.
Each concert runs from 1:10pm to around 1:50pm in the theatre foyer rather than the main auditorium, with a relaxed, drop-in format. The Lunchtime at the Well programme changes performer every week and has featured traditional Irish music, sean nos singing, folk and acoustic acts through the summer. Confirmed dates on the current run include Jason and Lorna McGuinness on 12 August, These Foolish Things on 19 August, Caoimhe Kearins and Chris Maguire on 26 August, and Ceol Binn Linn opening September on the 2nd. Because foyer space is limited, the theatre advises booking ahead through the box office. Hawk’s Well itself is Sligo’s main producing and presenting venue, staging touring theatre, comedy and film alongside its own work, and the lunchtime series is one of its longest running community fixtures.
