What to Expect

Summer in the City returns to Armagh city centre every Saturday from 20 July to 7 September 2026, running from 12pm to 4pm. The free programme spreads across Market Square, McCrum’s Court and the area outside the Market Place Theatre, with drop-in activities that change week to week.

Activities across the summer include crafts, football skills, pom pom cheerleading, kiddie cooking, dance workshops, science experiments, magic, and live music. The final weekend on 7 September coincides with the Armagh Food and Cider Weekend, featuring children’s cooking workshops, a Grow Your Own Veg session, a teddy bears’ picnic, face painting and balloon modellers.

Getting There

Armagh city centre is served by Translink buses from Portadown, Newry, Dungannon and Belfast. Car parks are available on Dobbin Street and Friary Road, short walks from Market Square.
