What to Expect

Tannaghmore Gardens and Animal Farm is a free family attraction run by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, set around an 18th-century Georgian farmhouse near Lurgan. Children can get up close to native Ulster farm animals including Irish Moiled Cattle, Dexter Cattle, Galway Sheep, Saddleback Pigs, and a wide range of poultry.

A wooden play area provides climbing frames, swings, a sand play zone, and an aerial slide for older children. The gardens feature 17 different styles of traditional gates named after local townlands, tree sculptures, and a tree trail through native and exotic species. A Bird Fair is held at Tannaghmore each August, with birds of prey displays, poultry showing, sheepdog trials, blacksmithing demonstrations, and arts and crafts.
