At Venues across Clonmel · Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
Clonmel Applefest runs across four days from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 September 2026, marking the town’s harvest with a mix of food, heritage, nature and arts events built around a community rather than a purely commercial theme. The 2026 festival is organised around the theme of CARE, with the organisers describing it as a chance for the festival’s programme of talks, exhibitions and community projects to explore what care means across Clonmel’s food, heritage and social landscape. Past editions have brought together apple orchard heritage, local food producers, craft stalls and family activities across venues in the town centre, and the 2026 programme continues that mix with dedicated community projects. Two confirmed strands are the Show That You Care book project, which explores Clonmel’s caring landscape and the people and services behind it, and the Families of Clonmel book project, priced at €12, which looks at family life in the town. Further programme detail, including exact venues and times for each event, is published on the festival’s own website in the run up to the weekend.
Clonmel is on the N24, roughly midway between Waterford and Limerick, with regular Bus Éireann services into the town centre. Applefest events are spread across venues within walking distance of Clonmel’s main street and the Suir riverside, so a single day pass through the town centre takes in most of the festival’s locations.
