What to Expect

Nenagh Arts Centre’s Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival runs from Tuesday 27 to Saturday 31 October 2026. Spleodar is an annual Halloween arts festival for children and young people, built on theatre, music, storytelling and workshops staged in the arts centre and at venues across Nenagh over the Halloween mid-term break. This year’s theme is Halloween Around The World, or Samhain ar Fud an Domhain, taking the festival’s usual mix of spooky family entertainment and setting it against how different cultures mark the season, alongside Ireland’s own Samhain traditions. As of early August the festival site still says “programme coming soon”, so the day-by-day schedule of shows and workshops is not yet published, but the dates and the theme are set.

Getting There

Nenagh Arts Centre is in Nenagh town centre, a short walk from Banba Square and the town’s public car parks. Nenagh sits on the N52 and N65, with Bus Éireann services connecting the town to Limerick, Thurles and Portumna, making the festival straightforward to reach from across North Tipperary. Families travelling from further afield in the county, including Borrisokane, Newport and Roscrea, can treat Nenagh as a convenient Halloween mid-term base, with the festival’s town centre venues within easy reach of each other on foot once parked up.
