The Trial of P.H. Pearse Before the Court of History - Greenore

At Victorian Tearooms, Greenore Co-operative · Greenore, Co. Louth

Victorian Tearooms at Greenore maritime museum

What to Expect

Writer and performer Anthony Russell stages a courtroom drama in which Patrick H. Pearse - poet, educator and leader of the 1916 Easter Rising - is put on trial before the court of history. The audience serves as jury, making this an interactive and participatory heritage event. The venue is the Victorian Tearooms at Greenore Co-operative, housed in the Greenore Railway and Maritime Museum, which documents the history of Greenore Port and the old Dundalk, Newry and Greenore Railway line. Admission is EUR 10. Places are limited; booking required by calling 085 7822791 or emailing larkingreenore@yahoo.co.uk.
