Cahir Wellness Festival

At Cahir House Hotel · Cahir, Co. Tipperary

Cahir Wellness Festival

A full day of yoga, pilates, breathwork, massage, street food and live music, all free to attend and open to everyone - the Cahir Wellness Festival on Saturday 28 June 2026 is the kind of community day that makes a small Irish town punch well above its weight. Organised by Cahir Community and held at Inch Field on Castle Street, it draws together practitioners, food vendors and curious locals for a celebration that is as much about connection as it is about fitness. If you have been meaning to try a class or talk but have not quite got around to it, this is the low-pressure way in.

What to expect

The programme covers a wide spread of wellness disciplines across the day. Movement classes include yoga, pilates, dance and general fitness sessions, while quieter practices such as breathwork, mindfulness and meditation have dedicated slots. Therapists offering massage and reiki are on site too, so you can book a treatment between sessions.

Expert talks run alongside the physical programme - short, accessible conversations on topics connected to health and wellbeing rather than anything lecture-heavy. The food offering is genuinely varied: Thai and Vietnamese street food, Italian options, acai bowls, crepes and artisan coffee mean you can eat well without leaving the field. There is a Kids Zone, so families with children are well catered for. Organisers expect over 2,000 people through the gates, which gives it a real festival atmosphere without feeling overwhelming.

Getting there

Cahir sits at the junction of the M8 Cork - Dublin motorway and the N24 Waterford road, making it one of the most accessible towns in Munster. From Cork it is about an hour; from Limerick around 45 minutes; from Waterford roughly the same. Bus Eireann services connect Cahir to Tipperary town, Clonmel and Cashel. Inch Field is on Castle Street close to the town centre, a short walk from the main square. Street parking is available in the town and there is a public car park off Abbey Street.

While you’re in Cahir

Cahir Castle, one of the largest and best-preserved Anglo-Norman fortresses in Ireland, is right on your doorstep - it is free to enter on Heritage Card and worth at least an hour. The Swiss Cottage, a thatched ornamental cottage designed by John Nash, is a short walk or drive along the Suir. There is more to see in Cahir and across Co. Tipperary.
