The Summer Cottage Market is a free-entry open-air celebration of the best of County Cavan, held at Con Smith Park in Cavan Town each June. The market features over 50 food and craft stalls, al fresco brunch options, live music, workshops, and children’s activities. It is organised by the Cottage Market Cavan, a community social enterprise supporting small-scale local growers, food producers, crafters, and artists. The event marks the start of the summer season.
Dates: Typically a Saturday and Sunday in mid-June (exact 2026 dates - confirm on cottagemarketcavan.ie; in 2025 the event was 7-8 June).
Hours: 12 noon to 6pm both days.
Venue: Con Smith Park, Cavan Town. Free entry.
Annual event held each summer; a separate winter market is held in December.
