Tales from the Trenches is a family-friendly guided storytelling event at Cavan County Museum in Ballyjamesduff. Visitors follow a storyteller around the museum and into the museum’s reconstructed WWI trenches, hearing the real stories of Cavan men who fought in the First World War. The event is part of National Heritage Week 2026, which runs 15-23 August under the theme “Heritage at Risk”.
