Charity Comedy Night for Red Door Project and MCDAR

What to Expect

Dan Stephens Comedy brings three stand-up acts to Sunday Street in Drogheda on Thursday 10 September 2026 for a one-off charity gig, with the night’s proceeds split between the Red Door Project and MCDAR. The bill is made up of self-described Laughter Lounge regulars Joe Irish, Dane Frisby and Dan Stephens, running from 7:30pm with the room open for two and a half hours. Sunday Street operates as a boutique events space with a Neapolitan pizza kitchen attached, so the night runs as a proper club show rather than a function room quiz format, with the venue’s usual food and drink service available to ticket holders across the evening.

The two beneficiary services both work with people affected by addiction on either side of the Louth-Meath border. The Red Door Project, part of the Louth Community Drug and Alcohol Team, provides drop-in support, group work and aftercare for people in Drogheda dealing with substance misuse, while MCDAR, run by the Crann Support Group, delivers the equivalent service from Navan and Trim on the Meath side. September is Recovery Month nationally, and both services use the month to run public-facing events like this one to raise funds and awareness, alongside the more clinical outreach and drop-in work they carry out the rest of the year.

Getting There

Sunday Street is in Drogheda town centre, within walking distance of the train station on the Dublin to Belfast line and the main Bus Éireann stops in the town. Drogheda sits just off the M1 motorway, roughly 45 minutes from Dublin and 30 minutes from Dundalk by car, with paid parking available in the town centre.
