Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Final 2026

At Croke Park · Croke Park, Jones's Road, Dublin 3

Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Final Croke Park 2026

The Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Final is one of the highlights on the GAA calendar - the conclusion of a championship that has brought some of the country’s most competitive county camogie sides through group stages, quarter-finals and semi-finals since late May. In 2026, Cavan have been among the form teams in the grade, topping their group alongside Roscommon and defeating Armagh convincingly at Kingspan Breffni. If they come through the semi-finals on 18 July, Cavan’s players will walk out at Croke Park on 9 August in front of the biggest crowd of their season. Even if your county is not in the final, the occasion itself is worth the trip - camogie at this level is fast, physical and genuinely gripping for anyone who has not seen it before.

What to expect

The Premier Junior Final takes place as part of All-Ireland Camogie Finals Day, which brings together the Senior, Intermediate, Premier Junior and Junior deciders at Croke Park across the course of the afternoon. Expect a packed programme from early afternoon, with the atmosphere building through each match. The Premier Junior grade is a competitive tier sitting below Intermediate - counties here are typically ambitious sides on their way up, and the standard of play reflects that. There is no dead time in a camogie final: the pace and skill on show tend to surprise first-timers. Cavan supporters will find a well-organised stadium, clear sightlines at every level, and the particular pleasure of watching their county play on the national stage. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster Ireland and are priced from €10.

Getting there

The venue is Croke Park on Jones’s Road, Dublin 3 - not Cavan town, so plan the journey accordingly. From Cavan, the N3 or N55 brings you into Dublin in roughly 90 minutes, but parking near Croke Park on Finals Day is limited and fills fast. The practical advice is to use public transport from the city: Dublin Bus serves the area directly, Connolly DART station is a short walk away, and the Luas Red Line stops at Connolly. If driving from Cavan, park at a Red Line Luas stop on the outskirts of Dublin and ride in.

While you’re in Cavan

Cavan town itself is a compact, unpretentious county town with good food options along Main Street and Farnham Street. The wider county is known for its lakes - hundreds of them - and the walking routes around Cavan Burren and Killykeen Forest Park make for a fine weekend around a match day. There is more to see in Cavan and across Co. Cavan.
