At The TLT Concert Hall · Matthews Lane, Drogheda, Co. Louth, A92 NF77
Fleetwood Mac never really went away - their songs turn up at every wedding, every pub session, every car radio from Drogheda to Dingle. Go Your Own Way, the tribute show that originated at London’s West End Adelphi Theatre, brings that catalogue to the TLT Concert Hall on a Friday night in July for anyone who wants two and a half hours of the real thing, done properly. It suits fans of the Rumours era who missed the band live, and equally anyone whose Fleetwood Mac knowledge begins and ends with Dreams and The Chain - because both are on the setlist.
The show works through Fleetwood Mac’s catalogue in roughly chronological order, starting with the Peter Green blues-rock years before moving into the Rumours-era lineup of Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood. The setlist runs to Dreams, Don’t Stop, Everywhere, Songbird, Rhiannon, The Chain, Little Lies, Landslide and Big Love, among others.
This is a full production, not a pub tribute night - the show has toured globally and plays to standing ovations across theatre-scale venues. The TLT’s Main Hall is a proper concert hall, so expect good sound and sightlines rather than a pub PA. The bar opens at 6pm, giving you time to settle in before the 8pm start. The show runs until approximately 10:30pm.
Note: strobe effect lighting and haze effects are used during the performance.
Drogheda sits on the main Dublin-Belfast rail corridor, so MacBride Station is directly served by Irish Rail from Connolly (around 50 minutes) and from Belfast (around 90 minutes). The TLT is on Matthews Lane near the East Coast Business Park, roughly a 10-minute walk from the town centre and the station.
By road, Drogheda is on the M1 motorway and straightforward to reach from Dublin (45 minutes), Belfast (90 minutes) or anywhere along the east coast. Street parking is available around the venue; the town also has car parks close to the river if you want to walk in and stop for food beforehand.
The town has a good few places to eat and drink along West Street and the quays if you want to make an evening of it before the show. The bar at the TLT opens at 6pm so there’s no rush. There is more to see in Drogheda and across Co. Louth.
