At Civic Offices · Mill Road, Greystones, Co. Wicklow
Greystones Municipal District, one of five local government districts that make up Wicklow County Council, holds its monthly meeting at the Civic Offices on Mill Road. The district’s six elected councillors set local policy on planning, roads, housing and community grants for Greystones, Kilcoole, Delgany and the surrounding area, and the meeting is open to members of the public who want to see how local decisions actually get made. The next meeting falls on Tuesday, 28 July 2026.
Like all Irish municipal district meetings, the session follows a published agenda: councillors work through planning matters, roads and footpath schemes, housing updates, community grant allocations and correspondence, with council officials on hand to answer questions on items under their remit. Members of the public may attend as observers in the public gallery; some agenda items reserved for confidential business are held in committee and closed to the public, but the bulk of a typical meeting is open. Agendas and minutes are published on the Wicklow County Council website in the Greystones Municipal District section ahead of and after each meeting, so anyone who cannot attend in person can still follow what was discussed and decided. The district meets monthly except in August, when no meeting is held.
The Civic Offices are on Mill Road in Greystones town centre, close to the harbour and a short walk from Greystones DART and railway station, which sits on the Dublin to Rosslare line. On-street parking is available around the town centre for anyone driving.
Greystones’ harbour and its food-forward main street are a short stroll from the Civic Offices, worth a look before or after the meeting. There is more to see in Greystones and across Co. Wicklow.
