The Laois Inclusion Games run over three days, 14 to 16 August 2026, hosted by VIP Hub, Ireland’s first dedicated community sports hub for athletes with a visual impairment or physical disability. The festival is part of Laois Sports Partnership’s 25th anniversary celebrations and is built around “sport, inclusion and community across County Laois”, with the programme running roughly 11am to 6pm across the three days.
The programme mixes taster sessions in adapted sport with wider community and social activity, giving people of all abilities a chance to try disciplines they might not otherwise get access to. Confirmed sessions include visually impaired rugby and kayaking for all, run by coaches experienced in adapting the sport for different levels of sight and mobility. It is aimed squarely at inclusion rather than competition, so newcomers, families and support workers are all welcome alongside people who already play adapted sport. Entry is free across the three days, and the event forms part of a longer-running body of work by VIP Hub and Laois Sports Partnership to build a permanent, accessible sporting community in the county rather than a one-off showcase. Registration is handled through the Laois Sports Partnership website, and specific session times within the three-day window are best confirmed there ahead of a visit.
The Games run through VIP Hub in Portlaoise, in conjunction with Laois Sports Partnership, whose base is on Mill Road off Church Avenue on the edge of the town centre.
